I have struggled with my weight my entire life. A constant repeat cycle of restriction, counting calories and obsessing over my next meal to bingeing and being a slave to food. Eating in secret, and unable to stop the patterns of self sabotage. Being “good” all week only to fly off the rails on the weekend and forgo any progress I’d made. I am now at a weight that I feel confident in my body. I was able to  to successfully lose weight after 2 pregnancies using these simple strategies.

Food no longer controls my thoughts. I have found control and self discipline (because yes, it is a matter of self discipline) to make the decisions I want to make that my “future self” will thank me for. Food no longer takes up negative real estate in my mind.

I’ve noticed a better relationship with food. Much better than I’ve had in the past. Rather than focusing too much on calories, I’ve learned to focus on adding lots of colorful veggies and thinking about the good nutrients they provide. I’ve also taken steps to plan ahead to keep me from ending up hungry in situations that will lead me to make less optimal decisions as far as weight loss goes. I find myself craving a lot healthier meals (sprializing cucumbers have been a game changer) which is quite refreshing. I have lost weight, and have noticed more changes in my measurements.
